CADM Engineer / Manager (m/f/d) | Munich, Germany

Spaceopal is the prime service operations contractor for the European Galileo Satellite Navigation System and manages all Galileo Service Operations. Galileo Service Operations will provide high-quality positioning, navigation and timing services to users across the whole world as a civil-controlled service with guaranteed continuity of coverage.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The CADM Engineer / Manager will be responsible for the provision of engineering support in delivering a safe and efficient Configuration Management service in cooperation with the ILS and CADM Manager.

This includes in particular:

  • Continual development of existing CADM processes suitable to the business needs of Spaceopal in liaison with ILS and CADM Manager as well as Quality Manager
  • Implementing the configuration management policy and standards in the company and for the GSOp Project
  • Ensuring changes to the configuration are properly approved and communicated
  • Maintaining integrity of the CADM database in CMAT and other tools by updating of configuration status data/information in centralized tools
  • Supporting enhancement of CMAT to comply with user needs
  • Identifying and proposing to the management eventual improvements and innovation on tools and processes of the company, with particular attention to the documentation management domain
  • Coordinate the work of the documentalists
  • Implementing customer configuration change note instructions and liaising with customers, project management and quality teams
  • Participating to Configuration Control Boards, documenting/tracing status of Change Requests and Board decisions, partly chairing CCBs and/or acting as secretary to the CCB chair
  • Following-up / sorting-out problems related to the processing of CCRs (input/output)
  • Performing quality checks, monitoring the correct usage / status tracking of CCRs in centralized tools and trigger corrections/updates in case of issues
  • Supporting the preparation and review of CADM related reports
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of the Product- and Configuration Item Tree and underlying configuration item attributes/data
  • Supporting the review and handover of configuration items/assets to the project from external parties
  • Supporting the execution of configuration audits
  • Ensuring consistency of asset records and status within centralized tool/database
  • Liaising with relevant PoC at subcontractor level
  • Supporting the ILS and CADM Manager in the decisions making processes of the domain and towards the management when necessary, for instance through active participation to Coordination Meetings

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Economics or Telecommunications) or relevant work experience
  • Experience in similar activities, better if acquired in Space or Defence programs, or in highly security-sensitive commercial sectors
  • Used to work target oriented, good organisational skills (time management, efficiency, dealing with parallel issues, etc.)
  • Strong attitude to team work, also leveraging resources not directly dependent on him/her
  • Familiarity with Project Management processes and tools
  • Experienced in Configuration Management disciplines and underlying data/information handling (Structures, Baseline Management etc.)
  • Experiences related to standardisation and quality reviews/audits
  • Familiar with Configuration Management standards/best-practices (e.g. ITIL, ECSS etc.)
  • Familiar with tools for Configuration, Documentation and Asset Management
  • Good software skills, related software configuration verification methods and general software design/setup, configuration concepts
  • Commitment and conscientiousness, customer orientation, good communication skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English, fluency in German and/or Italian is appreciated
  • Fluency in standard office automation tools (MS Office, Email, Internet, etc.)

Experience in the Galileo program will be a preferential factor.

HR Specialist Administration & Recruiting (m/f/d) | Munich, Germany

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

The HR Specialist supports the HR Manager as much as the Spaceopal Management Team in the general HR Business, administering the day to day HR Administration, including advising and consulting of the employees on HR related queries and requests.

This is a role for a hands-on personality keen on assisting a multinational team of technical experts in a demanding joint venture environment. Your flexibility, attention to detail and general enthusiasm about what you do will add value to the Spaceopal team.

Your main tasks are:

  • General HR Administration from A to Z, administering day to day HR issues
  • Operating and controlling the working time documentation as much as the absence and vacation tracking
  • Preparing personnel related documents (e.g. employment contracts, certificates, appointments)
  • Maintaining personnel records
  • Responsibility for the On- and Off-boarding process
  • Creating and maintaining of company policies and procedures (e.g. Company Handbook), monitoring proper compliance
  • Recruitment and candidate administration
  • Support on Employer Branding
  • Maintaining HR content in the Intranet

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • University degree in a related field (e.g. Business Administration, Social Sciences), appropriate apprenticeship or relevant work experience
  • At least 1-2 years’ in operational Human Resources functions, e.g. as working student or HR Assistant / HR Generalist
  • Practical strong knowledge of the German Labour and Social Security Law; knowledge in Italian Labour and Social Security Law welcomed

Cyber Security Engineer (m/f/d) | Fucino, Italy

Galileo Service Operations will provide high-quality positioning, navigation and timing services to users across the whole world as a civil-controlled service with guaranteed continuity of coverage.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for the management and application of security measures to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of Galileo Operated Infrastructures according to applicable security requirements and risk analysis.

This includes in particular:

  • Definition, maintenance and execution of Cyber Security Processes and Procedures to support Security Vulnerability and Patch Management processes
  • Contribution to Vulnerabilities Impact Assessment
  • Contribution to the definition of Security Monitoring Procedures
  • Contribution to the definition of Security Awareness Programs for Operators
  • Provision of expert advice in the analysis of security events and incidents
  • Management and control of the implementation of Functions and Technical Interfaces in compliance to the Cyber Security Requirements
  • Operational interface to Customer Security Teams and Bodies for Cyber Security activities
  • Support of the Security Accreditation Processes as a consequence of the above activities

The Cyber Security Engineer will work as part of an integrated team of security specialists. The working position is in GCC-I, Fucino, Italy.

Required Qualification and Experience:

The job requires in-depth knowledge of methodologies and supporting technologies involved in the cyber-protection of critical IT infrastructures, including for instance:

  • System and Network administration
  • Security Hardening techniques (policies definition, policies implementation, assessment)
  • Vulnerabilities handling
  • Security Monitoring systems and tools

The job requires also:

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g. Telecommunications, Electronics, Informatics, Engineering or Physics) and/or appropriate high school degree
  • At least 5+ years relevant work experience

Remote Site Maintenance Engineer (m/f/d) | Munich, Germany

Galileo Service Operations will provide high-quality positioning, navigation and timing services to users across the whole world as a civil-controlled service with guaranteed continuity of coverage.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Remote Site Maintenance Engineer supports the Spaceopal Site Service Maintenance Engineer on all aspects of the infrastructure deployment and Hosting Service provision as well as the related Ground Segment L1 Maintenance services at the world wide distributed Galileo Remote Sites.

He/she is further responsible to improve service reliability of the Remote Site infrastructure and Maintenance services and to reduce the number of incidents.

This includes in particular:

  • Deal with incidents, other emergencies and unplanned problems in line with the GSOp Service Management Processes
  • Processing of all maintenance and hosting service tickets related to the remote sites and GILSC, providing punctual and exhaustive analysis
  • Ensuring the correct execution, recording and triggering of follow-up tasks needed to resolve the underlying issues in line with the GSOp ILS Plan
  • Act as main point of contact for the ILS Support Desk for the status monitoring of the local maintenance tasks (preventive, corrective, evolutive)
  • Verify planning and scheduling of local maintenance work and the correct and timely implementation of the solution for any issue detected
  • Develop together with the site L1 and Hosting Maintenance teams the annual preventive maintenance plan applicable for the respective site and GILSC
  • Support the technical coordination of the remote site hosting service and maintenance tasks
  • Support the processing of the changes/upgrades of the remote sites and GILSC
  • Suggest refinement of maintenance and spare processes to optimize TAT between GILSC, Sites and Manufacturers
  • Support the Site Service Maintenance Engineer in the assessment, monitoring and control of the performance of the subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate records of all associated databases and technical documentation
  • Review subcontractor’s data packages and issuing of technical-managerial documentation

Required Qualification and Experience:

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Telecommunications or Electronics)
  • Experience in similar activities, better if acquired in Space or Defence programs
  • Experience in the Galileo program
  • Experience in using Maintenance Planning and Ticketing tools
  • Previous experience working within maintenance, site service and warehouse environment
  • Fluent written and spoken English
