Spaceopal CEO Mr. Lenzo will speak at the 2016 Munich Satellite Navigation Summit

Spaceopal GmbH announces that its CEO Mr. Lenzo will speak at the 2nd of March 2016 at the Munich Satellite Navigation Summit 2016. Galileo is the European Union’s global satellite navigation system.

Spaceopal GmbH  is responsible for the operation of the Galileo satellites since 2010, on behalf of the European Commission and under a contract with the European Space Agency.

Now – with 12 satellites in orbit – Galileo starts its initial services this year. These services will allow every user around the globe to start exploring the features of Galileo. In the next 2 years the constellation is planned to increase in zize to some 26 spacecraft, with a further extension in 2019/2020. Open, Commercial and Public Regulated navigation services will be provided with excellent accuracy.

Spaceopal operates the two Galileo Control Centres in Italy and Germany as well as several remote sites worldwide. We are also responsible for the LEOP activities performed by the two control centers in Darmstadt (ESOC) and Toulouse (CNES).
